A43 Road Closures - 3rd-6th November 2017

A43 Northampton to Kettering Improvements Phase 2 – Road Closures

As part of the on-going construction works Balfour Beatty have to close the A43 Kettering Road to undertake vital carriageway resurfacing works to tie the new road into the existing A43. The closures are planned for the weekends of:

• 3^rd/4^th/5^th/6^th November 2017 – First cone 8.00pm on the 3^rd Friday November and last cone off 6.00am on the 6th Monday November
• 10^th/11^th/12^th/13^th November 2017 - First cone 8.00pm on the 10^th Friday November and last cone off 6.00am on the Monday November – (This weekend is PROVISIONAL and is dependent on how much works is completed during the first weekend closure)

• The A43 will be shut from the Round Spinney roundabout in the south and at the Holcot/Sywell roundabout in the north.

• A43 Northbound traffic will follow the alternative route at Round Spinney roundabout. Traffic will take the exit for the A5067 (Moulton Park Industrial Estate) to the junction with A508 and turn right, follow the A508 to the A14, take the A14 eastbound to the junction for the A43 and follow the A43 to Sywell roundabout. The alternative route for traffic on the A43 southbound will be the reverse. Please see attached drawings for the diversion routes:

• Local traffic for Moulton and Overstone will be permitted through the closure at the Round Spinney Roundabout and will use Ashley Road or The Avenue.
• Provision will be made to allow access for residents on Park View during the times this road closure is in place.
• IMPORTANT – Residents of Park View North will not be able to access or egress in a vehicle from 8.00pm on the Friday 3^rd November. If they require there vehicles then they can park in the site compound. A pedestrian route will be provided and we will also have a vehicle (golf cart) to ferry those with mobility issues or have shopping bags, etc. Contact numbers will be provided to residents and pedestrian marshals will be on hand at all times to assist the residents throughout the weekend.

• Following the first weekend closure an update on 6^th Monday November will be issued informing the public if the second weekend closure is required and how long the duration of this closure will be. It is our intention to try and complete all necessary works under one weekend closure and minimise disruption.
