Another 2000 homes planned for Overstone/Moulton on 'land to the west of the A43'
If you don't want this development to go ahead, then this is your opportunity to say so.
The Local Plan sets out what the opportunities are for development in the area; and say what types of development will and will not be permitted and in which locations.
The law makes it clear that decisions on planning applications should be made in accordance (in line) with the policies and proposals within the development plan (which includes the Local Plan) unless other strong planning reasons or 'material considerations' indicate. It is therefore very important that you get involved in the preparation of planning policies and proposals within the Local Plan at an early stage if you want to influence how your area will be developed in future.
WNC are seeking views on the draft Local Plan which is being prepared, and will guide development up to 2041.
The West Northamptonshire Local Plan is a key document that helps us to plan for the future. Our aims are that residents will live in vibrant, attractive, active, and sustainable communities with the right access to services, facilities and infrastructure. The Plan will help us achieve this through it's policies which will guide development proposals.
This consultation is your opportunity to get involved with this stage of the local plan process and will help us consider and address issues before a final draft is produced.
